‘Round these parts, birds inevitably fly across the river. With Busch still in the cover, I hesitated to pull on this rooster. Watching long-tails cross the river while holding a license and an over under is about as painful as it gets, so I put my faith in Killer B. After whistling him over, running downstream to catch up with the bird and sending him into the slush on a blind retrieve, the Killer made no hesitation and impressively executed. The best part really is working the dog. Or getting shown how to work, by the dog.
